False advertising with pop ups

Post by pcoady »

As much as I am absolutely disgusted at having pop up advertising on software I have already paid a significant amount, it is absolutely disgraceful that the advertising is false and designed to trick you into buying something at FOUR TIMES THE PRICE ADVERTISED!!

The attached image shows the offer that was made in the pop up ad. When I sign up the price is changed from $19 to $79!!

I cannot get anyone from Corel to return my email.

The offer is completely false and I am absolutely disgusted at the illegal behaviour of Corel!!

Hi

We do not work for Corel so cannot comment on their advertising strategy.

But you are the first to say that that advert does not sell the program at that price.
When you say “When I sign up the price is changed from $19 to $79!!” are you logging on to your account or following the link from the advert.

What happens if you follow the link (UpgradeNow) to the purchase site, I assume the cost will be 19$
