Suddenly Won't Synch Audio & Video in Edit Mode

Anyone know why VideoStudio X9 would suddenly stop synching Audio & video in edit mode? Audio play on naturally, but video freezes and lags.

I've recently purchased VS and the first few videos edited just fine and this arbitrarily began today in the middle of editing a video.

This can happen for a number of reasons. Play requires a high end pc; high fps video and high bitrate video can also lead to stuttering playback. Adding filters, titles, and other edits like cuts can slow playback. Setting the project properties different than the source video can cause stuttering in playback of the project.

To help you more, you need to supply more details about the video formats, edits you are doing, project format which should be as close to the source video as possible. You might be able to use proxy files and get better video playback performance.

Like Al I think you may benefit by using Smart Proxy

Ok
From Settings – Smart Proxy choose enable.
CTRL + A will select all clips on the timeline, right click for Create Proxy Files.
Takes a while to render these files so be patient.
View Settings Smart Proxy Queue and file Manager to review progress.

Once created a small icon will show on the clips, Project Playback should improve.
Any new files added to the timeline will now have proxies created automatically.
