Videostudio X9 stops working at start up

Videostudio X9 stops working at start up
I just got X9 box software, inststalled it, registered it, installed the x9.5 update and deleted a few windows updates (I've seen few specific updates listed as issues in various forums) and it still won't run . I'm running windows 8.1. The program opens up normally and immediately shuts off once the work screen loads. I run pro tools 11 and photoshop CS6 (video editing in both) with ease so i know its not a hardware issue. Can anyone help? I am very frustrated with this product at the moment.

it does not seem that the hot fix is available via Corel, no idea why???

When I tried to install this it said the installed version of the application could not be determined. this setup will now be terminated. The same thing happened when I tried to install the other service packs the other day. any suggestions?

I tried that and it terminated the installation stating that it couldn't locate the application. Any ideas on why it would do that?

I can only suggest you re-install the program
First try using windows Program and Features to uninstall the program, choosing to remove all personal data.
If Programs and Features fails to uninstall then run the Cleanup tool from here.

Then rename this folder 19.0 (if it exists) to “19.0Old” from here.
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\19.0
Ok re-install the program.
Does the program run?
If yes go to Help and Check for Updates, allow the program to install updates automatically.
If the program will not run then install SP1 downloaded from my One Drive.
Please confirm if you did have to install SP1.
Does the program run.

Can you disconnect your internet and then try running the program………
As I am at a loss as to what to suggest next, you are best in contacting Corel Support
Hopefully they will be able to help.
