"save as" in new folder location X9

"save as" in new folder location X9
Yesterday I edited an image and saved in a new folder. When I edited a second image, and clicked on "save as" it automatically opened the new folder for me to save in. And it stayed that way for the rest of the time I was on the computer. But when I went back today and edited an image and saved in a new folder, it is not opening the new folder when I click on "save as" for the next image I edited. It opens the original folder. How do I get it set up to save the image in the last folder I saved the previous image?
