cnews.corel.com

Post by arturox »

Anyone got any idea what's happened to cnews.corel.com?

I've not been able to login to it with my News client apps for a number of days and am beginning to wonder if they've finally given everything over to Forums?

I've been trying to login for a couple of PSP version groups, but there's no connection to the corel server, I've tried with two different news client apps on two different Computer systems, but no go...

All other newsgroups configured in these News clients continue to work okay.

Thanks

I've copied your post to the PSP forum as you are more likely to get answers there.

Thanks, Ken,
Though it not just PSP newsgroups.
cnews.corel.com the server(s) that carry all the Corel newsgroups seem to be totally out of contact.

I can ping other news servers I use without loss, but cnews is not reachable at all.

Thanks. Though I understand your reasoning for posting in the Forum Chat forum, a lot of people don't bother looking down the Board index when they open their browser to the Board page. They usually only are interested in one or at most two Corel programs so tend to focus on those forums. Some people even have their browser set to open directly on a specific forum page rather than the index page. So I figured it was probably best to copy your post to the PSP forum -- not just because you mentioned PSP, but because I knew one or two users there have particular interest in seeing continuation of cnews.corel.com So all in all, you were more likely to get an answer there rather than here. But I left your original post here... just in case!
