Double Text Border 2 different Colors

Post by jernatety »

Hello,

For the first time I'm trying to create a new text logo in X3 with double border using 2 different colors for emphasis. I have no problem with the default border function after I've added my text. The problem is adding a second border. I've tried Youtube and Googling but I can't find any results pertaining to Photoimpact. Lots of Photoshop tutorials but I obviously don't use that.

Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks to all in advance.

Hi

It’s a while since I ran PI.

I don’t know how to create a double border as such, I’m sure there must be a way?
Have you tried applying a Bevel, that seems to give the text a two tone effect, then apply a border of a different colour.

Maybe not what you want, but the bevel text looks pretty good?

Hello @lata, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately that won't work. This is my objective here. The person who created this image created it 20 years ago for our hockey organization. He's since passed and unfortunately had all of the original images and designs. I'm trying to re-create them so we don't have to pay somebody to do it for us. I'm pretty decent with all of the team images and web design stuff but have found this particular responsibility a bit tougher than the normal stuff I do.

Hi

I managed to create a similar effect by duplicating the Text layer, then change the lower layers border to white , increase the size a little.

That's pretty cool, but can it be done 2d, I'd like to duplicate the original as closely as possible as well as use the 2 color gradient.

EDIT: I was able to do a quick 2D. Needs some work but I think I got the idea.
