Hi - I'm getting an audio scratch/pop sound at the end of crossfade and fade to black at the end of concert music video project. I need to have slow fade in visual and sound to the end. At the end I get this noise. I am fading loud clapping. I've tried everything, different renderings, long fade to just before the end then muting the very end but still get the noise. I've made sure project properties match properties of video from the camera.
This is different and a new problem since my ongoing audio pop sounds after render within the project that I've posted about. That problem by the way seems to have gone away, possibly with upgrade to 9.5.
This new audio problem with last project fade to end happened before upgrade to 9.5. I thought doing the upgrade might help but I'm still getting it.
Any ideas?
Thanks again for your help.

Re: Audio pop at end of crossfade X9.5
Just now worked around this issue by extending length of video until clapping died down more, then did the crossfade and that got rid of the scratch/pop noise at the end. I don't recall having this issue with any other versions of VS and it's something that's come up for me in the last month using VS9 and X9.5.
I'd be interested in if anyone else is having or has had this end fade audio noise issue.
Thanks,
Candy

Have not had the issue. It sure would be nice to hear it or see the waveform that shows the issue as that may help provide some ideas. Are there filters in the video? How are you doing the fade of the audio? What is the format of the video and audio? Eventually putting together a small clip that shows the problem and sharing it here with this community may identify the problem or determine that it is a bug that needs to be reported.

Re: Audio pop at end of crossfade X9.5
Al, thanks for your help. I made a short version, maybe 30 second project then rendered that to WMV and can't get the end fade noise error to occur. I will make a longer one. I don't have complete old one with the error due to I did work-around of long fade thru lower volume clapping. I'll make another one to hopefully reproduce the problem and will upload that and short version of it rendered, to One Drive when I get time in the next couple of days.
I'm not using filters that I know of. For the end fade, I am putting down black color and moving it left into the video for a crossfade. I've normally done this with versions of VS since 3 with no problem. I use the black for end credits. When I tried fade to black I had the same end noise. Video is .mts from the camera, Canon XA20. Audio is embedded in the .mts file. I tried separating out the audio but got same noise.
Thanks again in advance for your help. Sorry I can't get the samples to you tonight, I ran out of time.

Al, now for some reason I'm unable to reproduce the end fade audio noise. If it happens with new projects in January, I'll post again here. Not quite sure what's going on but for now I guess it's good news.

Thanks Al, if it comes up again, I'll mention it again.
