In Pinnacle 18, you can "ripple" transitions across all grouped images on the timeline from an image that already has that transition... Can that be done in VideoStudio X9 ?
Also, can image duration be applied across all grouped images on the timeline?
Thanks,

If you found the answer, it would be nice to post it here. Other users might find it helpful - that is what these forums are for. A link to the tutorial would be enopugh.

I agree. I have been trying to find an answer to basically the same Question.canuck wrote:If you found the answer, it would be nice to post it here. Other users might find it helpful - that is what these forums are for. A link to the tutorial would be enopugh.
Can you change duration of multiple images or apply a crop to multiple images? some of my video's can have upwards of 100 images in. and thats a lot to change individually. as far as I can see you can copy and paste attributes but crop and duration are for some reson not concidered attributes. or have I got that wrong?

@canuck @fungus (This may be a duplicate response...)
You can find the training videos at: https://www.studiobacklot.tv/training/l ... start-plus
Replicate transitions:
As you are picking a transition to apply, right click and you will have a chance to select "Apply to all imageson the timeline..." The transition will be applied to all images that do not already have a transition applied.
Change duration across multiple images:
Select all the images you wish to change, and right click any of them. You will get a "Change Photo Duration" drop down. Select the time and it will be applied to all selected images.
I have not seen anything that would apply cropping to multiple images....

Re: Replicate transformation across timeline...
that only seems to work on the main track, not on the overlay tracks and as most of the pictures will be in the overlay tracks, it's not much use.vinceg wrote:

Re: Replicate transformation across timeline...
Hi
Yes that is correct
When we resize an image in the top track all other clips move along the timeline to accommodate the new length, the overlay track does not do that, it does not automatically shuffle clips, so changing the length only works manually.
There is an option to set the default duration of new images added to the timelines, go to Settings – Preferences – Edit tab – Default Photo Duration. Adding clips to the timelines will use that length, for the overlay track the gap has to be sufficient to accept that duration.

Re: Replicate transformation across timeline...
Problem is, often you need to set the duration of a group of images in the overlay track to fit the clip in the main track or another overlay track. Adjusting one at a time is very time consuming and does not always give the ability to experiment with timings. if you could select all the images you want and adjust the timing of each image at once and it automatically reduce the overall length of the group including the transitions, that would be so much more user friendly. This was possible in the old ulead stuff (media-pro8 I think)
Now that should go on the wish list. For X10
