When I upgraded VS to version X9 it installed a folder on my desktop "Video Studio X9". With in that folder is a second folder, "Patch". Can I safely move this folder to another location and not mess up some path withing the program? The folder is not a shortcut.
My second question is: I updated VS x9 to latest sp3 (named VS S9.5?) but nothing changed when viewing the "about" version number in the "help" menu. How do I know if it installed?
Can I relocate VS/patch folder from desktop? Version number?

Re: Can I relocate VS/patch folder from desktop? Version num
Welcome to the forums!
What is the version number you have? The fully updated version of X9.5 is 19.5.0.35 (with the first 5 indicating it is 19.5/X9.5). If you only just recently upgraded to X9, then you probably downloaded the up-to-date X9.5 as Corel keeps its download version full patched to the latest version. In other words, if the original number you had is the same as it is now, then it was fully patched to begin with.
As for the desktop folder, I am assuming that is the download package which contains the files necessary for the installation, rather than being the installation itself (which should be in your C:\Program Files folder under Corel). If so, then the whole folder, and not just the patch sub-folder can be moved anywhere you like, even onto an external hard drive. It's only purpose would be if at some stage you wanted to reinstall VS.

Thank you for the speedy response. It appears I do have the latest version. This was a secondary issue I noticed when searching this forum for answer to folder placement. Thanks again!
