Making a Palette and then using that palette's swatches in a gradient.
The selection of colors for a new palette and also to use those colors in a gradient is far from intuitive and very time consuming.
In the Material Properties box if you have the color wheel shown and choose the Accented color harmony, you get 4 colors.

It would be great to be able to select all 4 colors at once to then add them to your new palette, or also use control to select more than one color to add at the same time, auto name would help here as well.

Currently even to get those four colors into a New Palette takes at least 16 clicks. When choosing colors and adding that to the palette and returning the color selection keeps switching to the Mono setting instead of remembering your last color and the Accented section.
Then when you switch to your Gradient select your Custom Gradient instead of this

It would be good to have the new palette visible (or any selected palette) and then to be able to select from that palette each of those four (or more) colors for different parts of the gradient.

A work around for using colors to edit a gradient is to choose your palette of up to eight colors and with a paint brush choose each swatch in turn and paint on a spare document so that color swatch becomes a recently used color.

Then when selecting different color stops on the gradient to change their color all you have to do is beside the User box Right click to bring up the recently used colors on top and primary colors below.

Select your color from there. One problem here is that the pop up box is not refreshed and cleared when closed.
