Python library missing modules

Post by cosmicDread »

I was unable to run an old script from PSP X8 on PSP X9 because of an import error. I checked the Python Libraries folder on my PSP X9 installation and its practically empty.
I copied a successive series of modules from my PSP X8 python libraries folder to my PSP X9 install. I am now able to run my script. I thought scripting was enhanced in the X9 version?

You need to download the patches.

Scripting was "enhanced" in a different way, but they removed the libraries to save on download size. They were supposed to be downloaded in an extra download. But after it caused so many issues for people (including the scripts that come with PSP), they added the libraries to the patches. So if you download those you will have no issues.

Trying to Install any of the patches gives me a message that no updates are required.
Is there another way of getting the Python libraries? I cannot run any of my scripts on PSP X9.
