Unable to read the video file

I have installed the Latest GIF Animator to try out and it opens many video formats but not GIF

Every time I try Open video or Add video i get the error message Unable to read the video file followed by the directory and file name.
Do I have a corrupt download or something? My other progs that can open or play animated GIFs do so without any problem. I am running Win2K with SP2.

Have you tried using the import command? Or maybe the file you're trying to open/add is corrupted. Why don't you try another GIF file instead. ^_^

Of course, I have tried all this. Funny thing: I gave it another bash the other day and suddenly it was all working, then it stopped working again. I reckon I have a corrupt download. I ordered the ULEAD trials CD but was very dissapointed to find that GIF Animator was not on it. I'll try redownloading (its just a such a bummer on a 56k dialup (SA's Telkom is very expliotative).

Also, why don't try a clean reinstall for you to install your GIF animator neatly with no present previous folders. ^_^
