Inconsistent Pen Tool
I don't use the pen tool much, but when I do it is usually to draw non-connected straight lines. As far as I know, I understand most of the tool and how to use it. The last month or so I have been having an unusual problem. I have the photo where I want to draw a straight line. I will start to draw...... sometimes the first one shows up, sometimes it does not. If the first one shows up, the second one does not...... huh? I have not change any settings and am on the correct vector layer which is the top layer and showing. If I continue to draw, close the image, or sometimes close the program I can get it to finally finish the lines. I am using PSP X8 Ultimate with the latest updates on Win 10. No problems until the past month or so.

Re: Inconsistent Pen Tool
Have you tried to reset the defaults? If not go to:
File >> Preferences >> Reset preferences
See this image:

Good luck.

Re: Inconsistent Pen Tool
Hmmmmm, I have not tried reset. Think I will now. Thanks much. (Can't believe I didn't remember to try that, seems to work fine now.) Tried it off on and for several hours..... working as before. Duh...reset, reset, reset! Thanks again!

Re: Inconsistent Pen Tool
I have the same problem with the pen tool but reset did not work. Pen tool used to work, but not anymore is there another way to fix?
I did not reset everything and it did not work. Please help.
After a while I found a tiny button that says "Show Nodes" and it began working.
My question is: Why did the "Show Nodes" button get set to not show?
Guess it does not matter now.
