For the past several weeks, my PSP X9 has been very slow on opening, saving, closing tabs or program etc. I find myself waiting for 30 seconds to a minute for just about every option, especially opening the program and closing it. Before I uninstall and re-install to see if that fixes it, is there any settings that are available that would fix the very slow performance of PSP?
My OS is Windows 10, latest update and my PC is an HP 700-214 with 12Gig of Ram and I5 Intel CPU.

Have your tied resetting PSP? It's simple: just hold down the Shift key when you click on the desktop icon to open the program. You will be asked if you want to reset it.
However, before doing this, make sure you save your workspace etc if you have customised it the way you want.

Think back and see if there has been a change in your computer use at the time it started to slow down. (I recently installed a 'cheap' Canon printer on one of my computers. That installed something that seems to give it priority over loading everything else. Computer start was affected the most). Have you installed or are using any new software. Because performance varies so much between users it points very much to variations in systems and not PSP itself.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X9 Slow on Everything
Is it just PSP that is slow? Over the last two weeks my computer was slower and slower and the delays increased during each session to the point that after about an hour I could not use it. Task Manager indicated that strange things were happening such as multiple instances of some applications. At one point the Win 10 splash screen came up but no way to log in. I contacted Microsoft and over a period of three days had the problem resolved. The first step was to get rid of all temp files, then eliminating items from startup other than essentials.
In the end, what saved me was that I had saved a recovery file (part of Windows 10 settings) on a flash drive - this is a big file of about 4 GB - and was able to boot up with that.

Not an issue I've seen with long time use of Windows 8.1. Perhaps the easiest solution is to not use Windows 10.MarkZ wrote:Is it just PSP that is slow?
