Using X8, patched, the user is experiencing uncommanded shutdowns. Programs just closes down, loses the work in progress. Changing the preferences auto save (to a more frequent setting) helps with a lot of the work-in-progress but the shutdowns still occur.
Has anyone had this sort of problem, and is there a fix?

Re: X8 - Uncommanded shut-downs
If you are referring to crashes then I experience this on a regular basis with all versions of VS. The cause in my case appears to be related to filters such as Rotopen and Mercalli. As well, editing MOV clips of 4GB or greater is an issue. I don't think that there is a solution other than mitigating the effect of crashes. Hence I now save the VSP after EVERY edit, use multiple VSPs when making a large project, and use a separate VSP when using Rotopen.Davidk wrote:Using X8, patched, the user is experiencing uncommanded shutdowns.
