FYI - Windows 10 defaults to System Restore off

Something surprising I just found out, that is particularly important when we're installing new software or updates, e.g., X9:

Windows 10 defaults to System Restore being turned off.

All my PCs use Classic Shell, so accessing it to change it is a bit different, but basically, once you access Control Panel it will be this:
  • 1) Open Control Panel
    2) System
    3) Advanced System Settings
    4) System Protection tab
    5) In Protection Settings hilite a drive with Protection Off (usually C: System)
    6) Configure
    7) Turn on system protection
    7a) possibly set Max Usage
    8) Apply
    9) Okay
    • (Repeat 5-8 for other drives)
    10) Create
    11) Enter a Restore Point name
    12) Create
    13) Close
    14) Okay
