When One captures editing of an Image , then Apply it to another in the Manage interface,
Where do you set the Compression ration for the result? My save is way more compressed than the original, thus loss of some quality .

Re: Capture Edit and APPLY in the Manage Interface
My guess is that the compression applied is the same as is used for Save in Edit mode. Currently there the compression for Save cannot be adjusted, it can only be done in Save As - however the Save process will be corrected at some point. For now, nothing you can do about compression.
I believe that when you use Apply edit the original is saved if you have that feature checked in preferences. I'm sure someone here will create a script to do the same thing with compression control.

HI MarkZ , Tx
I have checked it does not use the Compression of the Image you copying editing from , I would have thought that was the case, sadly its not .
Its also does not use the Compression ratio of the original image . I have logged an issue with Corel , No luck yet

Re: Capture Edit and APPLY in the Manage Interface
I don't think that Mark was saying that it used the compression of any image. I believe he was saying that it uses the compression that is set by the Save option when you are working in Edit mode, whatever the amount is that this compression happens to be set at. It has nothing to do with the compression used for the original image or the compression used for the image you are copying the editing from.fmpix_net wrote:HI MarkZ , Tx

Re: Capture Edit and APPLY in the Manage Interface
JoeB is right - I believe the default compression for Save is used, about 20 according to the estimate of users here. This will eventually be corrected so that the user can control compression - the question is when?
