Moviefactory 4.0 and WMP 10

Post by tritones »

I am considerring buying Moviefactory 4.0 (I own and love PhotoImpact 10). I already have some video created in Picture Story 3 that I would like to transfer to DVD for play in standard players. The windows media files will only play in Windows media player 10 - will Moviefactory import these files?

I cannot speak for MF 4, but MF 3 certainly does. It takes a lot of additional time for the encoding and burning process, but it works well. Can't see why it wouldn't be the same in MF 4.

As a further point of interest, when you're finishing (i.e. saving) your Photo Story, use the "Profile for Computers - 3 (800x600)." The quality of the PS3 wmv file is a lot better than the "Profile for Creating DVDs."

Whenever I've incorporated a "wmv" file into a DVD, I start the burning process as the last thing I do at night. It's done when I get up in the AM. :D
