I'm trying to get from 10+ hours of Hi8 to DVD.
So I copied the Hi8 to DV (Sony TVR10) and then used Firewire and VS7 (Patched) to capture to DV type 2. Using XP-PRO/SP2 - NTFS this gives me a single 12+gig file.
Problem is that the audio towards the end of a one hour capture leads the Video slightly when the clip is played in VS7 or Media Player 9.
What did I do wrong? Is it my choice of Type 2 DV?
Thanks for all help
Barry

I've Googled - Good news and BAD!
I googled and answered my own question.
Turns out that DV type 2 has a seperate audio stream that on long captures can drift out of sync. DV type 1 has the audio locked in with the video (laymans terms) and so resists the drift problem.
Oh well
he says deleteing 150gig of type 2 captured stuff and starting again.
