Smart blending of cloned area after completing a stroke.
Perspective cloning. This was something fun in GIMP that I really enjoyed. You identify a perspective cage, and as you clone the clone is warped to fit the perspective
Brushed magic fill. Turn on a "Magic fill" option, and instead of getting a sample point it uses the brush to create the selection and then auto fills with magic fill.
A sample cage or selection. Similar to the object remover tool, use a selection or cage to define a sample area. Then brush in the sample.

An improvement could be something near the effect of the healing brush in Photoshop.
See Example 8 here :

It clones the "texture"...

Re: PSP: How can Clone Brush improve?
Get it to work the way it is supposed to as a starting point. There is a delay between starting a stroke and when the effect is seen in most of the brushes but my recent experience is that clone is the worst. Moving the brush at a moderate speed the painted area lags by a few hundred pixels. Paintbrush is similar, lagging at different times in a stroke.

I observed that sometimes, the tool Step is set to 1 (to low) and I didn't remember to have selected this value. Modifying the Step value may reduce the lag.MarkZ wrote:Get it to work the way it is supposed to as a starting point.
