Trevor, try scrolling this.
"A demo of using 'customize motion' to move a single line of text back and forth, left or right on the screen to accompany the discussion
** The only way to mend the bug is by adding crop filter.

You can save it as a favorite and custom it to your own text and duration.

Re: VSX9 Scroll Text Horizontally
Hi Asik
Nice one with the cropping filter, your vsp works ok but I have to admit in having problems replicating your settings?
Yes there is an issue with Text animation and Fly with Backgrounds they should stay in sync.
Your text extends beyond the video frame so once running you may as well have a continuous background to create the ticker tape effect.
CustomiseMotion also has its problems, only customises what’s seen on screen, so cannot use on your long text, although shorter text, all on screen works well.

Re: VSX9 Scroll Text Horizontally
I had problems with your vsp trevor, my 19.2 didn't open it. I had to do my
to open it.
** My crop setting can be modified to any sentence length.
*** Brain and you were so firm that scrolling should be done with Customize Motion, I scratched my head what I'm missing.
****XP's movie maker on it's ticker will fade in full frame background but wrap it off with the end of the text.

Re: VSX9 Scroll Text Horizontally
Hi Trevor and asik 1,
I had no problem to open Trevor's VSP, saved it to X8 format and easily opened it in X8. Everything was nice.
For asik1 : With your exact VSP, the background and text enter and move together. If I shorten the text, it enters later. If I cut the text to four or five words, the background shows in part on the left side.
I tried to replicate your VSP, but can't get the box to move like yours. For the cropping filter, I can't get to have the box (with + sign) at the far right/left side like you did. I use the mouse to move that box. What do you use ?

Re: VSX9 Scroll Text Horizontally
your zip Jaro is unusable .
The crop I used is very simple , only the 2 mid key frames need to be time adjusted by ones text.

re:

The 10 shown below. Thanks I did add your text to my favorites, thank you, but I do like to know how items I use are produced, not having seen the cropping function used that way before.

Re: VSX9 Scroll Text Horizontally
your errors are the mid keyframes. they are too close to the ends and not follow the text .JaRo wrote:Can you check this one and tell me my mistakesasik1 wrote:your zip Jaro is unusable.
Scrub the FX timeline and see how the text scroll, when it fills the frame there should be the keyframe .
**After your gazillion instant projects I though your are Master Key-Framer.
