VSX9 Scroll Text Horizontally
I want to scroll text horizontally from right to left across the bottom of the screen. I'm sure that it is possible, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it.

Re: VSX9 Scroll Text Horizontally
Hi all
I have just had a need for scrolling text moving with the words of a song and I used BrianCee's second option. It's over a video with a changing background, so I tried to insert a 25% text backdrop, but the backdrop would not follow the text across the screen. Any ideas how to overcome this?
Thanks.

are you using the actual "text backdrop" function in the title options panel ? - using that I have no problem at all with scrolling text and backdrop together

Hi
I think Brian has used Customise Motion after creating the text rather than Text Animation

Hi Brian
yes, the background moves with the text when moved with the mouse, but when played the text moves across the screen but the background just stands still.

The "second option" uses "Customise Motion"

Re: VSX9 Scroll Text Horizontally
Sorry for confusion Brian, that's one of the problems living down here in New Zealand, we are upside down compared with you in the UK!!
I have tried the track motion option, not quite the effect I was after, as the text has to start at the left hand side of the screen, (not comming in from the right) so that the colour backing is across the screen continually from left to right and remains there until the line of text (about 2 screen width's) has finished crossing the screen, and departs to the left of screen. But I will use that for now.
That's one of the things with Video Studio there is usually an alternative way to do things.
Many thanks for your input.

Hi
Not sure what is going on here but is the attached project what you are trying to do?
From the text options panel when setting transparency, make sure the top options are set to Fit to Text not Solid Background.
