Hi
Just reinstalled PSP X2 on a new Win 7 PC and I can't get the maximum 16 million color option available for a new image.
These are my only options.
Anyone any idea why this might be?
Cheers

Re: PSP X2 Photo Colours - Maximum not available
RGB 8 bits /channel gives you 16 million possible color combinations. The channels are Red, Green and Blue. 8 bits/channel means that each color channel has a possible 256 shades. So with 256 possible shades per each of the red, green and blue channels you get 256x256x256=16.8 million possible color combinations. And an 8 bit/channel image is a 24 bit image (8 bits x 3 channels).
The 256 colors for 8 bits/channel is arrived at by the fact that a 1 bit image has only 2 colors - black and white. A 2 bit image has 2x2=4 colors, 3 bit has 2x2x2=8 colors, and so on. So 8 bits has 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2=256 colors/shades.
Hope this helps.
