I was hoping in this version it would have it, or maybe it does, but I cannot figure out how.
When creating a path with points, and duplicating a path within the same layer, I want to be able to select "flip horizontal", etc.
Is there some method that I can do to create an object in only 1 layer without having to make 2 layers and merge them?

PhotoImpact unlike PhotoShop, is object based (Adobe PhotoShop is layer-based). That means every item you add in PhotoImpact is considered an object and can be selected separately just by clicking on it. This makes it easier to work with for most newbies because they won't have to be confused on working with Layers (based on personal experience). Layers though, have its advantages and although more difficult to work with, gives you more flexibility. If you want to group objects, you'll really have to merge them. Anyone thinks otherwise please correct me if I'm wrong..
Like heinz-oz have said, there are a lot of cool tutorials in www.pircnet.com you might want to check out.
Thank you.

Ok, so bottom line then...please tell me if I am wrong.
You want to create a butterfly.
~ create left side of butterfly (path object)
~ duplicate left side
~ flip horizontal
~ align the 2 parts together where they would intersect
~ merge the 2 parts as an object
~ now is an image (this is the part I dont like, it should stay as a path)
~ Trace image (to get back the path - but it isnt EXACT anymore)
~ now object has both sides eqal and is a path
My point is, wouldn't it be much simplier if PI could duplicate and flip 1 path segment within 1 object without going threw all that? My original question was, do I have to do it the long way or is there a method I just don't know?
I looked at that link for hours that was mentioned above, and none gave me an answer, not even here

There are many ways to achieve an effect that you want. These stuff you can't learn from forums. I suggest that you join a PhotoImpact or imaging class where you can learn the tricks of the software more effeciently. Aside from the online tutorials, there are many tutorials and classes for PhotoImpact offered in PIRCNET.
