I can't move a .wav file to the timeline.

I can't move a .wav file to the timeline.
I paid a voice-over actor to record some narration for my video. I recorded it in a recording studio. It's a .wav file. When I try to move my voice-over file to the timeline, I get an error message stating the file is not readable. It plays fine in the Preview window. But when I try to drag it to the audio track in the timeline, I get an error message stating, 'the contents of this file cannot be read'. Can't X9 read a simple .wav file when I try to put it in the timeline?

Certainly can - if it is indeed a simple .wav file - sounds as though yours is not - as asik says - what's it's propertiesscottfs wrote: Can't X9 read a simple .wav file when I try to put it in the timeline?

scott -- since you are new here, to get the properties, right click on the wav file either in the Video Studio library window, and select Properties. Copy them all here, please, or else take a screen shot of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment.
The other thing you might want to try is to use a third party audio editor -- such as the freeware Audacity. Then if it opens there, convert it again back to another wav file and see if that works.

I kept trying, and poof! it took. I did nothing different. Strange.
Thanks for the help.
