Hi,
I just tried to record from my webcam with ViceoStudio 7, which worked fine. It recorded audio along with the video, which is excellent.
BUT it chose my front panel mic (which is my headset) - I need the sound from my table mic.
I've set the table mic to both the standard recording device and the standard communications device, but to no effect.
Then I disabled the front mic. Upon that, I could not start the recording ("Could not initialize video recording plugin. Can't create video recording filter")
How do I do it?
(FYI: When I record a voice over, the correct mic is selected)
Choose audio recording device for video recording

Re: Choose audio recording device for video recording
Hi
Sorry but I do not think I can help, I have one desktop mic connected via usb that is set as default device.
I do not have multiple recording devices so don’t know what happens when switching devices.
However when I go to Screen Capture, and choose Settings – Sound Check I am able to choose an input device, I don’t suppose your inputs are listed there, just a thought.
Otherwise I would think it’s a computers audio recording settings that need a tweak, yes I realise you have been there.
Maybe other users with multiple mics can help here?

Re: Choose audio recording device for video recording
Thanks for replying guys...
Do you mean Control Panel -> Sound?
If you simply mean setting a default device and/or disabling the other, then yes, I did that (that's what I meant by
Otherwise, could you elaborate on your suggestion?
Seems to me like that's a major oversight. IF the user can't specify the device, then the recording should use the windows default device.
...What exactly do you mean, though?BrianCee wrote:WINDOWS audio control panel
