What filter is this?

Post by K4GAP »

I have found a Youtube channel with a very neat intro text affect. Do any of you know what this filter is? If so where can I get it?

Thanks for any help with this.

If you mean the simple text ones which appear and disappear at the beginning they are not filters as such -- the effects there are just animation achieved when creating text title in Videostudio

If you click on the large 'T' down the side of the preview screen then double click as instructed and type a few words - you will then be able to look to the right of your computer screen at the options panel which has two tabs. By default the edit tab is open showing options for font / clout . size etc. - next to the us the 'Attributes' tab - click on that and choose Animation and 'Apply' and you will see further options for the way the text appears and disappears

The text in the video appears to be projected out in front of the camera. Walking toward the text the text appears to move through the scene out the back of the shot. I did exactly as you described but none of the attributes allow or have the affect I'm talking about.

The only titles I see are the ones at the very beginning - as pic below

to me they are just text titles appearing quite small using a "typewriter" type appearance - then zoomed right in until they disappear of the edge of the screen - I have very quickly knocked up a video (in Videostudio) of what I think is happening - see that here - https://youtu.be/qaBqQBUf4tg - may need a little tweeking to be an exact copy - but the basics look correct to me

Good morning,

I've tried similar thing with Customize Motion, changing the Position and size at the beginning and the end. I think that Brian is pretty close to what was done and is the best way.

I don't have X9 version, but in it there is the NewBlue Auto Pan FX Filter. Could that be used to attain similar effect ???

Some hints in : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGUsJwCHH7Y.

Hi,

there are ways to automate host things (like the title in the train entrance), with Motion Tracking (or sometimes called "Camera Tracking", etc... you get the point)
I'm very new to Corel VideoStudio, I just thought I'd throw that in.
Basic tracking is available in VS:

I'm not sure about advanced options, but I'm sure you'll quickly see what your version of VS can do to there
