Scripts
My sample script folder (scripts-Trusted) is empty. Is there some additional step required to get the sample scripts loaded into X9?

Re: Scripts
Any scripts you want PSP to see need to be manually copied either into Scripts-Restricted or Scripts-Trusted. Word of warning, only put actual trusted scripts into Scripts-Trusted as these scripts not only have access to the extra libraries, but also to your harddrive. While scripts-restricted limits how advanced you can make your script, it also makes the scripts a little bit safer to use.

Re: Scripts
Thanks for the reply. Where do I find the scripts to copy into that folder? The X9 tutorial showed several sample scripts, however I can't find them in the original download.

Re: Scripts
What tutorial?
PSP comes with its own scripts inside its own program folder. You wouldn't see these in your scripts folders. Those folders are for your own scripts should you make them or download those made by others. The Scripting For Script Authors tutorial on scripting does include example scripts that come with the PDF. Those are located in the same folder as the PDF when you install it.
If you're talking about a general tutorial on using PSP you can see all installed scripts by opening the Script toolbar.
What scripts in particular are you looking to use?

Re: Scripts
You should be able to find the scripts that come with PSPX9 here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X9\Languages\EN\Scripts-Trusted
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X9\Languages\EN\Scripts-Restricted
Also, those script locations should already be set by default in Preferences>File Locations, so if the script in whatever tutorial you were looking at is one of the pre-installed ones it should show up in the Scripts dropdown.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X9\Languages\EN\Scripts-Trusted
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X9\Languages\EN\Scripts-Restricted

Re: Scripts
Thanks JoeB, you gave me enough info to find the scripts (not x86) and move them to the folder X9 was looking at for scripts. Now I can try them out.

Re: Scripts
Glad it helped. I only use 32 bit versions of PSP so my stuff is in the x86 file folders, not Program Files.daveharney wrote:Thanks JoeB, you gave me enough info to find the scripts (not x86) and move them to the folder X9 was looking at for scripts. Now I can try them out.

Re: Scripts
Still not sure why you're moving scripts. You shouldn't have to. The "Scripts-Trusted" and "Scripts-Restricted" folders located in your Documents are only for your own scripts. THe ones that come with PSP are already fully available. The only reason you would need to do this is if a previous version came with a script that a newer version does not.
