Is there a way to merger video and audio tracks without rendering?
I'm merging a lecture audio with slides. I have all the in/out for the slides but need to be able to keep those while editing the video.
Currently plan is to render then edit the resulting video.
Thanks.

Re: Merge video and audio tracks
bit confusing there - first you don't want to render - then you seem to want to do a render before editing for some reason
when you create a "project" by saving and creating a .vsp file you have effectively 'merged' video/slides/audio into one "lump" and as long as you keep editing and playing on the one PC they are to all intents and purposes all joined together
for what you want to do why can you not use the standard techniques of editing both pictures and audio within a project and saving and opening it at will
then when all editing is complete you can render to create the final video which you can play any where

Re: Merge video and audio tracks
don't know how you figure you make one lump when you create a vsp, upon opening, it is still multiple tracks and editing one track changes timings (think chapter points or cues) means editing the other track(s) and ensuring everything is still in sync.
"for what you want to do why can you not use the standard techniques of editing both pictures and audio within a project and saving and opening it at will" -> therein lies the problem. I need to edit visuals and audio simultaneously (not concurrently).

Re: Merge video and audio tracks
What VS you use?
once you set your slides with the audio, save that VSP
and drag it as a single track to re-edit with the video if this your desire.
