X7 and X8 slow playback

A big problem.
For days I'm tryn to make a video but qhen I put a filmed sequency in the timeline, when I play to see if the audio corresponds with de picture (I added an audio recorded separately), slows down and losses sincronization.
When I play back the original track, taking the audio from the audio track, on its own also solws down. Sound its ok but picture goes like slow motion...
Any suggestions?

Perhaps I'll uninstall X8 a reinstall the programme, and see.

Are you editing High Definition video, if yes then enable Smart Proxy
Settings – Smart Proxy Manager – Enable Smart Proxy

Shift + Click the first and last video clip to select, right click for Create Smart Proxy Files
The proxy files take a while to render so be patient.

Project playback should improve when using proxy files.

I had it from settings already marked.
I'll try to do it in the track line as you say.
Anyway I'm reinstalling X8 to see waht happens.

Once proxy files have been created a small icon can be seen on the clip as image below
You can also view Settings Smart Proxy Manager to view the proxy files

I have done everything you suggetsed, but it doesn' create a proxy file. No icon or the file isn't in the File Proxy Manager.

Can you provide more details regarding your video file?

Please right click a clip and choose properties, what are they?
You can create an image of that window to attach to your post.

Smart Proxy files are created when using video with a frame size larger than 720 x 576 (480)
Knowing the video property details should help us.

Perhaps the most drastic solution,I have uninstalled and installed again X8.
Perhaps there was somethiong corrupted that I wasn't able to find.
Then every new vídeo I add to the tracks I create a Proxy File like you suggested!!
So far it works!!!!
I'm getting old.....Many thanks
