Are Arrow Presets from X3 compatible with X8?

Hi,

X8 comes with only 4 black arrow presets and I was wondering if the arrows from X3 can be copied over to X8 without installing the Creative Content? I keep my installation very lean and manually deleted a ton of presets I know I'll never use. If this can be done, can someone tell me where (and which ones) the Arrow files are located in X3 and where they should be copied to in X8

menu File/Preferences/File locations... opens the File Locations dialogue. Under File types click on Preset Shapes.
Here, you can check where X3 stores the files, and where X8 stores them.

Then you could copy preset shapes from X3, preferably to the X8 "users" folder.
Or you could create a new folder in the X8 users folder (something like "from other versions").
Or you could also just add the X3 preset folder to X8, as long as you don't delete X3 from your system.

Does Creative Content install everything it comes with into its own folder (that I can easily delete) or does it merge everything into the existing X8 ones making removal of content I don't want a nightmare? Also, does Creative Content come with new Arrow Presets not previously available in earlier versions?

Briefly to answer your subject question, presets from previous Corel versions of PSP are compatible with subsequent versions.

You will get more than just the arrows. Here's a quote from the page I linked to: "Includes brushes, displacement maps, gradients, line styles, masks, picture frames, picture tubes, patterns, preset shapes, and textures. Installs to the existing content folders. OS: Windows"

My arrows are located: C:\ProgramData\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X8\Corel_11\Corel_11_01

To be honest, I don't recall what, if any, were new. Here's a screen grab of my arrows.

If you don't want the other preset shapes there is no need to delete them; just select "Arrows" from the drop-down box like I did above.
