Cannot install in Win 10

Hi gang - I cannot install any version - either the one I purchased on line (through Cleverbridge and trial versions from Corel.com) and they hang with a simple error message saying the installation application cannot complete.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a work around or fix available? I cannot fathom what Windows settings I am using that would prevent the installer from completing the task.

And welcome to the forums

I would suspect the internet default browser.

I would try installing with the internet disconnected.
Otherwise set Internet Explorer as default browser, then try installing again.

Thanks for the jprompt reply - Nope - no joy using MS Edge as the default and active browser. Even the trial version crashes at 94% installation progress, with a generic message that simply says the installer failed. Very disappointing. (The full program download from Cleverbridge also fails.)

Driving me nuts trying to debug this issue !

Trevor never suggested Edge but instead to use the 'old' Internet Explorer which still comes with Win 10, though tends to be hidden away these days. But for some reason, Corel continues to link things to IE and not to other browsers. I recently had an unrelated issue which required me to simply open IE (instead of Edge, which I also use as default browser) and it resolved the issue. And there are other situations which require IE to be open. So all I can suggest is that you find IE on your system and open it before trying to install PSP.

(Parenthetically, I am at a loss to understand why I must have any browser open to install a program I purchased and downloaded from Cleverbridge as a full installation disc.)
