Hi all,
Having rechecked (I was looking at the wrong 'properties' I see that I am using 5.1 when shooting in full auto. It seems from your comments that the only way around this is to shoot in the manual setting, al a Brian?
Thanks so much again for your help and input; much appreciated, as ever.
Regards
Andy

Re: Audio filters drag but won't drop into timeline
Hi Andy
Thanks for the update, I don't know if Brian has his camera settings as Manual.
But camera versions may be a little different.
Certainly my Pana 900 on full auto uses 5.1.
Andy if you need those filters you could batch convert the mts to use stereo but retain all other properties.
Otherwise render an audio file to Wav to replace the Split Audio file.
I think I will ask the question to Corel.
I have a feeling the reply will be that we cannot use Audio Filters with Digital Dolby Surround Sound.

Re: Audio filters drag but won't drop into timeline
Hi Asik
I own a Panasonic HDC-SD900, there are three cameras in the range (HDC-HS900 and HDC-TM900) as far as I know are identical except for the memory type. Internal Memory, SD card or combination of both.
I record in both iA and manual depending on the situation, iA would be the norm.
iA only records to Digital Dolby Surround Sound 5.1, My audio or TV do not have surround sound, so I guess that option is a bit of overkill, although does no harm.
I cannot change the 5.1 settings, certainly I have tried many times.
Recording in Manual does give more options for user defined settings, to be expected, now I can set Digital Dolby to use stereo DD 2.1
Its not a problem for me provided I do not wish to use VS audio filters.
I have had no detriment in converting my video from 5.1 to 2.0

What about this?
(check your mail, I sent you something.)
* I considered once the SD900 when I was in Berlin few years ago,
I was lucky not to buy it as a year or two later I grabbed a used (as new) X900m at B&H in NYC.

I don't have my 900 right now, to see the difference. I don't recall that when I shoot manual the sound jumps to 5.1.lata wrote:Hi Asik

In 3 years of using my X900 I never got 5.1 sound clips.

Re: Audio filters drag but won't drop into timeline
I am experiencing the same problem - not being able to drag and drop or apply the audio filters to my MTS videos. I used to be able to do it all the time with previous versions of this software - before the drag and drop.
Has this issue been resolved?
I just got off the Chat with Corel, and they tried to upgrade me to 2018, without even confirming whether or not that would fix the problem. They opened a support ticket. Has Corel ever advised about this?

Re: Audio filters drag but won't drop into timeline
Hi
And welcome to the forums
First I assume you are using Video Studio so why would corel ask you to upgrade to 2018, when that is Paintshop not Video Studio, they seem to have the wrong end of the stick.
Reading the above posts again I think the problem was associated with Digital Dolby 5.1 surround sound, if your Mts use Stereo then the filters can be used.
Can you give the full properties of your MTS video files.
Can you say which previous versions worked ok?
