So, I am new to this forum and video editing. However, I did complete an edit of a video from my Samsung Note-7 phone and it turned out very well. The problem I am having is with the videos from my Canon 70D camera. When I import the clip for editing and hit the play button, there is no sound. When I play the clip in Windows media player the sound is fine, I tried using Quick Time but there was no video, the sound was there. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks, Phat

Re: Corel VideoStudio X9 and Canon EOS 70D Audio Problem
Hi Phat
And welcome to the forums
I own a Canon 7D which may record the same video format, I do not use the video function that much but my clips seem to play ok. The video are Mov types.
A little supprised and concerned that QT did not play the video, can you try VLC Media Player?????
Video Studio uses Project and Clip playback modes indicated by the words being highlighted adjacent to play button, try both options, which one plays audio? If any…..
Video Studio would normally match the project properties to the video properties, however not for Mov.
Can you right click any clip on the timeline and choose properties, what are they?
You could create an image of that panel to attach to your post.
Now try setting Project Properties (Alt+Enter) to match using the Online option to set mpeg4.
The frame rate being particularly important.
Does that improve playback.
Double Click a clip to select and open Options panel, (video Tab) change the 100% audio to 99%
Does that help with playback for that clip?
And welcome to the forums

Lata, thank you for the reply. I was concerned also about the Quick Time not working properly so I went to the program and upon opening it there was an upgrade necessary. After I upgraded the Quick Time it and the Video Studio started working properly, I now have sound on the Canon 70D videos.. Very happy!! So far all seems to working properly.. Thank you again for the reply!
All the best, Phat
