My VideoStudio Pro X5 is not working anymore. The error message says it is an "Appcrash". A search on this forum did not give me an answer, and it stopped me from repeating the search btw.
Where did Corel put the fix for this error?
Thanks!

You will have to give a lot more information before anyone can help. "Appcrash" is a generic Windows error and it is impossible to recommend any fix without more info
When does the error occur? Has it worked previously and is the error only recent? Have you done any W7 updates? Several W7 updates since February have corrupted the VS programs.
What is the project that you are working on when the error happens?

The error occurs on starting VideoStudio. The program does not even want to load, so it is not related to any project. I have been keeping my Windows up to date. VideolStudio worked fine before today; last time I used it is a few months ago though.canuck wrote:You will have to give a lot more information before anyone can help. From doing some more research I think the W7 updates might be the reason, as you suggest.
I have also seen a post on Youtube that describes the error, and a fix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yXYc2Agb10.
However, this fix involves removing Windows security updates, which I don't think is a good idea.
Installing SP 3 for VideoStudio did not resolve the issue.

Hi jjng
Please read these posts regarding installation and windows updates.
The second post has a link to a fix by replacing a MUIHelper.dll file
I have to say that this is an English file version, some users found it altered their program language?????
I say this as I note you are in Germany.

And also thank you Mr. BrianCee http://forum.corel.com/EN/memberlist.ph ... e&u=106184.
The solutions in this post http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 31#p325077 resolved the issue.
It would be nice if Corel could put this fix on their website.
