I'm just testing AfterShot Pro 3 and enabled hardware acceleration in the settings (OpenCL enabled, AMD platform selected, Baffin graphics card). However, whatever is set here, there are no differences during batch conversion of some RAW files. For 12 files the conversion takes about 40 seconds, even with OpenCL switched off. It seems that the GPU is not used at all.
What I've done and observered:
- I've of course restarted AfterShot after changing hardware acceleration settings.
- Process Explorer (from Microsoft Sysinternals) shows no activity for the GPU during conversion.
- Tested AMD software versions for the graphics card: Crimson 16.9.1 and 16.9.2
- The command line tool clinfo from AMD (part of the driver installation) detects the CPU and the GPU as OpenCL devices.
