Hi,
I have an .mpg file on the hard drive from Create video file that shows some flicker or flutter toward 4 min of the clip. Would slow or fast burning "mask" the flicke/flutter?
hanks you for any respond.

If the flicker or flutter is in the mpg file, then it will be in the burned DVD.

Re: slow or fast burning to mask flicker/flutter
flutter or flicker is much more likely to be due to something in the rendering process - as an example - changing the field order (not matching the original) can cause image problems - is the flicker in the .mpg ? - I can't see how changing the speed of burn is going to make any difference at all

Thank you, I was hoping that burning may help.canuck wrote:If the flicker or flutter is in the mpg file, then it will be in the burned DVD.

Yes, the flicker is at about 4 min towards the end of a 30 min mpg file. Unfortunately, I could not re-edit and re-render the vsp file because all the mts files of that video need re linking. As I indicated in a previous message, this time during the rendering all the mts files were changed into proxy files. and I have a hard time in finding which proxy file belongs o which mts file.

None of the mts files were changed to proxy files. Those proxy files are simply mpg copies of the mts files. The mts files still are unaltered somewhere in your system unless your deliberately deleted them.
Have you done a search for mts files on your system?

Re: slow or fast burning to mask flicker/flutter
Hi Canuck, No I have not done a search of the disappeared mts files. I did search of the folder name TULE_AVCHD but the search did not turn up any. Indeed you are right, if you change a file, the original file is usually in the recycle bin. I will follow your advise and search for those mt files in all hard drives. Thanks for the advise. I will let you know what comes out of it.canuck wrote:None of the mts files were changed to proxy files. Those proxy files are simply mpg copies of the mts files. Re: slow or fast burning to mask flicker/flutter
Hi Canuck, I just did a search for the"vanished" mts files, and...... they were all found. The search did not show where they are except that they are in "This PC" (my OS is Win 10). In any case, I created the same folder name TULE_AVCHD) and have successfully moved some of the found mts files to that folder. I now will move all of them back and hopefully, would not have any problems in re=linking my video clips in VS. Now I could re-edit my vsp file to get rid of the flutter/flicker in the created mpg file. Thank you very much, you are really a life-saver......canuck wrote:None of the mts files were changed to proxy files. Those proxy files are simply mpg copies of the mts files. Re: slow or fast burning to mask flicker/flutter
That is not what I said. A original file will only appear in the recycle bin if you deliberately delete it not if you change it. VS will not delete any original file.Bimbing wrote:canuck wrote: Indeed you are right, if you change a file, the original file is usually in the recycle bin.
