ASP 3.1 Update - Linux Issues Fixed?

Post by garibaldi »

I see that Aftershot Pro 3.1 is now out. The release notes claim fixes for a number of Linux bugs. Has anyone tried it yet and confirm that the bugs (crashing, previews not available, general stability vs ASP2) are indeed fixed on Linux?

I still get crashes when trying to import ancient Jpegs. I'd love ASP to be able to handle my entire library of photos one day.

That said, I have had notably fewer crashes from just using it. I never really had a problem with previews for images that had imported so I can't speak to an improvement. I think this is progress, but it still seems like a side-step instead of an upgrade at the moment.

No, I don't think, that many Issues are fixed!
I still have crashes - maybe memory problems? Sometime it works to close ASP and start again.
No image at 1:1 View is still there.
Blending Modes - still only available with circle tool.
Nikon p 330 raws - with wrong colors and contrast - still not fixed.

What is really fixed - jpgs e.g. panorama images work again!

All of those things were working in ASP2?

Yes - except of the nikon p 330 (never worked as it should ...)
But - now highlight recovery is much better - GradFilter Pro is back (but has bugs - no copy and paste ...)
