Hi,
the description of PSP X9 says "Save your own layouts as templates to speed up future design and photo projects". How does one achieve that? Copying a file to the "downloads" folder doesn't help.
I checked the tutorials, the manual and the topics here. It seems the "project template" function ist just another shop to sell off Corel's own designs, not to include user created content. Or did someone figure out how to do that?

Re: Custom project templates
I believe they are referring to print templates. Here's some info from the help file.

Re: Custom project templates
No, the paragraph on the Corel site refers to "project templates", not print templates. Especially since these exists way longer than X9...

"Templates" are simple pspimage files with layers.Elchinator wrote:Hi,

Technically, it is not new. Since years now (PSP8 Jasc), layers are available and you may prepare your "projects" for use in the future with other content.
What is new is Corel now includes some empty "templates" free and many to be paid...
X9 templates may be opened in previous PSP.
You may test this free template on your "old" PSP :

Re: Custom project templates
So it's just some marketing fuzz and no real "feature"?!? I mean, saving and reopening a layered .PSPIMAGE... *doh*
I had hoped that there is a way to organize the templates I might actually be using, instead of some cheap rip-off advertisements...
Very sad, Corel, very sad.

Re: Custom project templates
So are you saying there is no specific folder created by PSP when installed that contains templates or that is meant to contain templates? If you get free or paid ones do you just create your own folder?Jean-Luc wrote:["Templates" are simple pspimage files with layers.

Re: Custom project templates
There is a folder Print Templates, save them to that. You'll find it in the X9 custom folders.
