Does anyone else have issues with speed of Paintshop 8..
My PC is new, it has a i76300 processor, GeForce 570, 16ram, SSD - Paintshop is loaded onto the SSD for speed. And yet..i am very surprised at how slow it is when using paintshop 8. It works...but really it isn't the fastest. I'm asking it to do very little...very little..bog-standard images..copy/pasting / a bit of tinkering and its working..but it isn't anything special. It aint quick..in fact I'm finding it very very frustrating to use...to 'wait' a few seconds for a very basic operation. Again, I linger back to the Ulead days...back then I would add 30 - 40 images on a page/moving them about...it worked fine.
Is it the computer / the setup or ( more likely ) that V8 just doesn't really like running on windows 10 perhaps?

As you will see from my Profile, my computer is nowhere near as powerful as Woodstock's. However, I don't have any trouble with the speed of most actions in either X8 or X9 under Windows 10 -- though some more complicated actions will take a second or two before they appear on screen. I admit this can get a bit annoying as it interrupts your expected workflow -- and concentration! -- a bit. It also takes about 25 seconds for X9 to open ready for use. And I have already mentioned elsewhere the two second delay on first opening recent versions of PSP and clicking on a menu for the first time, for the menu items to actually appear on it.
But overall, none of these delays seem to be as bad as what Woodstock appears to be experiencing...

Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium here, absolutely no problems with PSP X8's (32-bit) speed. Takes 5 secs to launch to workspace, and the rest is as speedy as the last version I used — X6.
