Where can i read about the function of all the various check boxes in the multitude of menu options in VS9
For example: Share - Disc - Setting & Options - Disc Template Manager - Project settings:
Two-pass conversion
Support X-disc
Field Type - upper or lower field first or no fields
What is the function of these last 3 options?

Yes I have looked at the User guide - worse than useless.
Not enough detailed description of what boxes should be checked to carry out certain function etc.

It would be easier to decide on the process you want to carry out and then ask the question in this forum. The User Guide is perfectly OK but you need to know what you are looking for.
We all struggled in the early stages of using VS but the answers are here when you know what question to ask.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: VS X9 - Explanation of function of all menu options
There's a clear pattern in the doco (user guide, help files) about a control - it exists, and what it does. What the doco doesn't say is how to use it, or provide examples. And I suspect that is really the sort of detail that you want. The only help available in that area is here (the forum - admin and users) but you need to be fairly clear about 1) your starting point, 2) what you want to do, or 3) the result you aim to get. Otherwise, it's trial and error.
There are a substantial number of on-line tutorials covering the 'how to' on the Corel's website, or on Youtube using Gripps as a search key. But again you need to have in mind the desired result and what controls may give it to use those sources effectively.
