QuickTime died

Post by AlexL03 »

In April 2016, Apple has discontinued support for QuickTime for Windows, and recommended as soon as possible to remove it, as it threatens the security of the PC. But without QuickTime not working import some MOV files in many video editors, including Corel Vidtostudio X8! What to do? Than can I replace this damn QuickTime?

Hi Alex

As far as I know it was the QuickTime “internet browser player” that caused the security issue.

I do not think the QuickTime codecs or PC player were a problem.
For what its worth I have QT installed.

Obviously its your decision…

There were some problems with mp4 and Mov files, Corel did provide a few fixes by replacing a file, we had assumed the latest patches included the latest fix.

Download this file and replace with existing, Please read the Read Me file for info

Hope this helps.
