VSX9 Voice Over Issue

Post by Chivay »

I'm using VSX9, however this was a problem on the last version I had as well. Every time I record a voice over, the recording always stops at 1 min. I was using an MXI Tempo mic with USB connection. However it has done the same thing while using other mics. Hopefully this is enough info. Its just really frustrating and I can't get anything done while it keeps cutting me off anytime I record audio. The audio sounds fine, its just the getting cut off part that's the problem. Thanks!

Hi Chivay

And welcome to the forums.

There have been a few posts referring to voice over.

As we cannot replicate the problem you should report the problem to Corel Support, but I would suspect your pc rather than VS. Saying that the Voice Over should remain active until the user terminates the recording, maybe Corel need to look at that.

I have tried Voice Over and it remains active provided I do not use the mouse for any other actions.
I feel that wireless mice may or could be a problem, certainly when I used one it seemed to have a mind of its own, at least sometimes. You seem to be having issues with all types?

My display power settings interrupted the recordings when “turning off display” at 10 minutes , something we don’t want when using Video Studio.
I have just set that to never and will run a quick test.

By the way have you tried using Windows Voice recorder, that seems to keep going when using the mouse.

Post Updated

I have identified a problem with my Power / Display settings in particular my Screen Saver settings.

If set to 5 minutes for the “wait” time, then choose None, one would expect that to disable the entire screen saver, however for some reason Video Studio appears to act on the 5 minute settings even though its greyed out. Try setting Screen Saver to 60 minutes.

Very Strange
