Re: INstalling VS x6 on windows 10
In your profile you say your operating system is Linux, so can we assume you have Windows 10 on a separate computer, or is it a dual boot system Linux/Win 10? I can't say I have ever seen that precise error message in all my years on this Board, and I am wondering if it might have something to do with a dual boot system if that is what you have... My only dual boot computer is Win 7/Win 10, and X6 is definitely on that one and working under Win 10.
However, that leads me on to another possible interpretation of the error message. I have X6 working on at least two of my Win 10 computers. But it was already on them when I upgraded them to Win 10. So I am wondering if this is what might be meant by your error message saying "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." In other words, if X6 is already installed, all should be OK, but not if you are trying to install it after upgrading to Win 10. However, I seem to recall others here installing or reinstalling X6 after upgrading to Win 10. Hopefully someone who has done that might jump in here with information.

Sorry for the confusion. I only have Video Studio (not pro) on windows 10. But I can't find it installed anywhere.
Maybe I need to tell win10 that it's uninstalled or clean the registry?

Hi
Like Ken I have X6 installed but was installed when using Windows 7.
There is a cleanup tool available for X6 from this post.
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59847
Can you also confirm that you are trying to run the programs installation file (approx. 1.4 Gb) and not a service patch which as far as I know would report a similar message?
