You might want to change the typo in the subject fro X8 to X9. :-)

I've corrected the title as suggested. And Radim, thanks for the information but in fact this was announced in another thread yesterday: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 35#p332235 which contains the link to SP2.

For ease of access the link is http://www.paintshoppro.com/en/support/ ... sion-tab=0

Hmmm... No problems here. Is it only .pspimage files created with version 19.0.1.8 which give this message, or all .pspimage files?

No, only created files with version 19.0.1.8 give this message. Other PSP files with other PSP versions have not been tested.

No, only layers in pspimage files. No vector text.

Thanks to everyone, but I have PSP X9 reinstalled with Service Pack 1 and the files stored in a different format. Then I installed the Service Pack 2. I hope that this error message no longer appears.

Best regards

I also cannot open PSP files created yesterday just before updating to the latest service pack.
PSPs from X8 open AOK.
The error message " Unable to open the file. Please verify that the file is valid."

Thanks,

John

I also cannot open PSPs created last night before the update to 19.0.2.4.
I can open PSPs created in X8 AOK.
The file I was working on has multiple layers, no text and was originally exported from Lightroom 6 as a 16 bit tif and ProPhoto colour space.
Thankfully I have a saved tif from my edits I can further edit and print from.
Has anyone else other that Zeitreisender experienced this behavior with 19.0.2.4?

This is my third attempt at this post.

Thanks,

John

Hi,
I have the same issue with 2 files created this morning just before the update installation... many hours lost
I had only layers in vector mode and raster mode. No text
If you have a solution.. I will be very happy

Thanks in advance

Reminds me a currently only one solution. You can try to open your files at least once again:
  1. Uninstall PSP X9
  2. Install PSP X9 with Service Pack 1
  3. Open all affected PSPIMAGE files and save all possible levels as a single PNG files (or in other formats).
  4. Than install Service Pack 2
According to this principle, i was able to save most of my work at least. PSP X9 with Service Pack 2 can also open older PSPIMAGE files. I have tested with PSP X7/X8 PSPIMAGE files.

Thams for your answer. The problem is that I need the file with the layers (there are many). In png or other type is not useful to me
Too bad, I'll redo the design from the beginning. A file is already made

Just a long shot. Have you tried to open the file with an older version of PSP? Maybe, just maybe, that may do the trick.
