X9 Trial version is a bit laggy

Hi all

When pressing control buttons, the response to many features is quite a laggy. (seconds)

Is this a trial version thing? or are other noticing the same thing?

Even the first VideoStudio load time is slow?

Opening the full version can also be a bit slow. I just timed it and it took 25 seconds. However, once it is open, all the other commands are executed very quickly -- though sometimes that will depend on the nature of the operation: the format involved and the filters applied etc.

The trial version is severely crippled in a number of aspects which IMHO was a very silly decision by Corel, though apparently driven by monetary concerns. They have stripped out all but the basic codecs to avoid having to pay licence fees for a free trial version. And to keep download size small they have stripped out a number of other basic features. So many potential users don't actually get to trial particular aspects of the program which might be of special interest to them.

The full version is rapid

I was getting a little worried that the full version was as slow as the trial.

BTW Videostudio X9 takes 11 seconds to load on my machine

How fast it loads depends on your computer and hard drive. SSD will be faster than mechanical.
