First time user of Videostudio and I have some footage that has background noise that I want to eliminate, so after separating video from audio I wanted to export the audio to a wav file for edit in Audacity but none of the share options have any audio format selections.
I did see from a few videos on Youtube that this was a feature on earlier versions and it seems odd not to have such a basic feature.
Or is it hidden away somewhere?
Have read through the user guide but could not find any mention of it.
Export audio

Re: Export audio
asik1: thanks for this simple answer. New user here, too, and that turned on the light in my head. I "shared" to Audio, (WAV, not WMA which Audacity won't read,) then imported to Audacity, edited, and imported back into VS X10 and it lined up perfectly synched still. Very slick. I'm doing music videos, so this is critical and it works great!...thanks...asik1 wrote:You sure its VS you are using?

Re: Export audio
I've always wanted a method of muting a background in a clip, to enhance the primary audio, usually but not always a voiceover spoken as the clip was recorded. Muting, as in reducing volume but not removing it. I find a real albeit low level background noise contributes a realistic 'feel' to a clip or video.
This seems to be it.
But I've not been able to puzzle out the audacity methods of muting a background, particularly if that background includes someone unexpectedly yelling, semi-drowning the voiceover. I tried to attach a .wav (obtained by sharing the audio of a clip in .wav format) example I was experimenting with, but it exceeds the forum size limit by 0.25Mb
Edit update
I trimmed the file to less than 2mb, and now find that .wav extensions aren't allowed. Makes it hard to provide an example . . .
Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Re: Export audio
Hi Ken,
Thanks, tried that. More roadblocks. The original audio file size was 2.25mb, play time 13 sec. It zipped down to 1.8mb, but forum only allows 500Kb in that format.
