How to make a 2D grooved effect

Post by Griff »

I'm just learning Paintshop Pro and have X6. I need to know if there is a tutorial around that would show me how to create the grooved edge around this coin? I'm not familiar enough with all the commands to know if it's a brush, tube or whatever. Kind of makes it hard to do a web search if you don't know what it's called :-) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Does anyone have any ideas on how to create the grooved edge around the coin? I was thinking it would maybe be a gradient but haven't figured out how to rotate a gradient around a center point. Anyone out there on this forum?

You would probably need to combine two vectors on two different layers with blend modes.

Or you could create vector arcs, and rotate them around a center-point, then convert the vectors into selections, and add a bevel maybe.
