Purchasing Paintshop Pro Online

Purchasing Paintshop Pro Online
There is usually a pop-up advertisement for a Corel product everytime you open Paintshop. Corel sent me a purchase online offer for the Paintshop Pro X8 ULTIMATE for $24. Interested, I opened the ad to purchase but as I went along navigating it I learned that I am no longer purchasing Paintshop Pro Ultimate, I was only offered the Paintshop Pro X8. And I had to go through their online chat to finalize this deal. This is a misleading scheme and I am not fully satisfied with the whole thing of buying it online (and resorting to the online chat to seal the deal) and not getting the product they were offering in the first place. So now, I ended up with a software that is one or several notches below what they originally advertised to me.

Re: Purchasing Paintshop Pro Online
Hopefully someone who has had a similar experience to you will post here if they found a better solution. And there are quite a few users out there who are very unhappy about the far too many pop-up advertisements from Corel, not to mention the wide variety of prices offered.
But just to explain, none of us here work for Corel. We are all users like you who volunteer our time to help other users. So none of us can actually intervene with Corel to help you. We can only give suggestions...
All I personally can suggest is that if you are dissatisfied, Corel have a 30 day full refund policy, which seems to work.

Well Mr. Berry, you can take this posting of mine as my two-cent advice to everyone to be wary of purchasing Corel products online. And besides, returning the product is out of the question; it was purchased about five months ago.

Note that if you got the PSPX8 instead of the PSPX8 Ultimate, you got the exact same program, and NOT a couple of notches below. The only difference is in the add-ons since the program itself is exactly the same.
