Is there anyway to get ASP3 to display folders in the File System directory view in order? Why would it not do that by default?
Under a Photos folder, I have the following folders which ASP3 displays in this order:
2004
2013
2002
2003
2005
...
2012
2014
2015
2016
2000

Re: File system directory view folder order
I see what it's doing. Looking at the folders in Windows Explorer and adding the 'Date created' column to display (default is Date modified), and sorting by Date created oldest to newest, the list appears as it does in AFP 3. There doesn't seem to be any setting in AFP to change this. Sorting by folder name should be the default.

Re: File system directory view folder order
Hello,
Here (WIN 10, ASP Pro 3) Dirs and subdirs and files are listed in alphabetic order independent from creation date.
I have no idea what disturbs the sort order in your case. I don't use the ASP catalogue (I have IMatch for this), maybe the catalogue has a different sort order?

Re: File system directory view folder order
Hi, just noticed this too. I have all my photo directories mixed up due to Aftershot not sorting alphabetically... Has onyone seen a solution? For me this is a no-go. Takes just too long to search the right directory. Hope some solution exists to get normal browser behaviour.
Re: File system directory view folder order
since i have never seen that effect on linux i predict a bug that picks up the wrong sort-setting from the system. i know, that is of no real help for those affected, but maybe we can find out what causes this..
Bibble since 2004. Aftershot until 2020. From then on darktable.
